These two operations naturally oppose each other and that is where Sprint Filters polyester filtering fabric takes a leap above the rest. The Sprint Filter polyester fabrics are extremely permeable, stable and are not affected by folding during construction. Cotton or sponge air filters, on the other hand, have a weaving that depends on the overlapping of numerous layers, leading to poor flow in some areas and ineffective filtration in others. filter, a procedure which we recommend carrying out about every 20-25,000 kilometres, is to eliminate impurities from the filtering surface so that it can be used for the entire service life of the engine cold, the first gear engaged and the keys removed from the ignition.</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 10px;padding:0px 15px;border:0px;font-family:Raleway, sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:17px;vertical-align:baseline;">2)     Once the filter is removed, gently beat the polyurethane structure against a stiff surface to eliminate the largest impurities(grass, gravel, bugs, etc.), being careful not to damage the filtering element .</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 10px;padding:0px 15px;border:0px;font-family:Raleway, sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:17px;vertical-align:baseline;">3)     Clean the air-box from any impurities.</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 10px;padding:0px 15px;border:0px;font-family:Raleway, sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:17px;vertical-align:baseline;">4)     Position the filter on a container and pour the detergent (WADET500) on the filtering element, using about half the bottle.</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 10px;padding:0px 15px;border:0px;font-family:Raleway, sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:17px;vertical-align:baseline;">5)     Leave the detergent on for 20/30 minutes.</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 10px;padding:0px 15px;border:0px;font-family:Raleway, sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:17px;vertical-align:baseline;">6)     Rinse the filter thoroughly and very gently on both sides using water until the filtering element looks clean (it is recommended to use a common irrigation hose equipped with gun with jet adjustment).</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 10px;padding:0px 15px;border:0px;font-family:Raleway, sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:17px;vertical-align:baseline;">7)     The cotton that makes up the filtering element will not go back to being perfectly white, but it is enough to check against the light for the absence of any impurities or dirty oil residue.</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 10px;padding:0px 15px;border:0px;font-family:Raleway, sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:17px;vertical-align:baseline;">8)     In case there are still impurities or oil on the filter after the washing, the filter air dry without exposing it to direct sunlight: the filter is dry when it no longer releases any traces of water or dampness.</p> <p style="margin:0px 0px 10px;padding:0px An air filter job is to guarantee good air flow while preventing significant particles from ending up in the engine. These two operations naturally oppose each other and that is where Sprint Filters polyester filtering fabric takes a leap above the rest. The Sprint Filter polyester fabrics are extremely permeable, stable and are not affected by folding during construction. As soon as they are in the open position, the Ferrari V6 clears a throat that bleaches the late Mr. Pavarotti. In short SPECTACLE !. But unfortunately Alfa Romeo software engineers have not thought about when the valves should be open or closed.</span></p> <p style="margin:0px;font-size:14px;line-height:normal;font-family:Raleway;"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">It is logical that the valves must be permanently open in Race mode, but not everyone always wants to ride in Race to enjoy the sound. The enthusiastic switching behavior in Race is not always necessary and some backup of the traction control system is often desirable. That last is missing when driving in R mode. Traction control is present in the other positions of the DNA button, the most in A mode and the least in D mode. However, the valves will only open at higher engine loads and revolutions. This often happens at a time when you actually do not expect it, which causes you a certain amount of shock/unrest. Outside the car it also sounds strange when the valves open and close again a moment later. Not so tough ….</span></p> <p style="margin:0px;font-size:14px;line-height:normal;font-family:Raleway;min-height:16px;"></p> <p style="margin:0px;font-size:14px;line-height:normal;font-family:Raleway;"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">The ESC dongle puts an end to this inconvenience. In this case, ESC does not stand for Electronic Stability Control, but for Exhaust Sound Control. With the ESC dongle the outlet valves can be opened under all circumstances. So also in the A, N and D position. However, the original control strategy runs parallel. So either the dongle opens the exhaust valves or the car does it itself. The dongle cannot force the outlet valves to stay closed.</span></p> <p style="margin:0px;font-size:14px;line-height:normal;font-family:Raleway;"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">How does it work?</span></p> <p style="margin:0px;font-size:14px;line-height:normal;font-family:Raleway;min-height:16px;"></p> <p style="margin:0px;font-size:14px;line-height:normal;font-family:Raleway;"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);">The ESC dongle is plugged into the EOBD plug next to the steering column under the dashboard. The weak point however, is the valve mechanism itself.
